Nadal eases to China Open title

At the Japan Open in Tokyo, David Goffin captured his second ATP title in a week with victory over Adrian Mannarino of France. This in turn has strengthened his position in the world rankings.

Unseeded French player Garcia continued her superb run of form of late as she comfortably overcame Halep, the Romanian who will be confirmed as the world number one for the first time tomorrow, in straight sets at the Olympic Green Tennis Center.

The combustible but talented 22-year-old, who had another meltdown in losing the China Open final to Rafael Nadal on Sunday, has long struggled with his demons, repeatedly losing focus mid-match and arguing with umpires and fans. He also has one title more than Federer after he went into the event tied on five apiece.

Tennis world number one Rafael Nadal lifted his sixth title this year after easing past Nick Kyrgios 6-2 6-1 in the final of the China Open in Beijing on Sunday.

ME motorists get some relief as post-hurricane gas prices continue decline
Experts say prices are expected to decline as temperatures begin to feel more fall-like and the demand for fuel declines. Gas prices in Kansas have fallen to their lowest level since Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas in late August.

However, the oldest of the lot, Roger Federer, is set to compete in Shanghai next week and Nadal refused to add his powerful voice to those demanding fewer tournaments.

"It is an important title for me", said Nadal.

Commenting on Nadal's win, Kyrgios showed no animosity, he said, "He played well". "He's one of the players with more talent on the tour. The feeling is probably better this year". His last title on the tour came in Tokyo previous year. But I was lucky the first day saving that two match points.

"I guess I put in a pretty good week, had some good wins.In the semifinal I played well, obviously beating Alex".
