Meghan McCain makes her The View debut


About three weeks after it was first reported that Meghan McCain was "in talks" to join the cast of The View, the ABC morning show formally introduced her on Monday morning as a permanent co-host. I watched a young Republican in college.

"I'm honored and proud to be part of such an iconic show with a diverse, smart, strong and interesting group of women", McCain said in a statement released by the network.

McCain, daughter of senator/2008 presidential nominee John McCain, took over the spot once filled by Jedediah Bila, who made her shocking exit from the show in September. Speaking to co-host Joy Behar, McCain said, "I don't think we're going to agree on anything, Joy, but I'm really excited".
