A report from CBS stated that gambling was Paddock's favorite hobby, however. He was arrested the following year in OR, where he was managing a bingo parlor under the alias Bruce Werner Ericksen.
Patrick Benjamin Paddock, father of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock, was a bank robber and prison escapee who once made the FBI's "Most Wanted" list. Then 34, the fugitive bank robber didn't have a hair on his head. He had been charged with two other bank robberies but authorities dropped those charges after his 1960 conviction.
He allegedly stole more than $20,000, which would be the equivalent of around $165,000 today. The bank manager then called police and described the vehicle that was heading to Vegas.
One in OR, the Federal Bureau of Investigation says, Benjamin Hoskins Paddock shaved his head and grew a goatee. When he tried to drive off, he tried to run agents over. "A shot was sacked and Paddock surrendered".
Eric Paddock also revealed his family is still coming to grip with the actions of his brother. "There's no political affiliation that we know of". Benjamin Paddock was arrested for a bank robbery when his son was 7 years old.
For him, it was old hat. In December 1960, a jury found Paddock guilty and Judge Peirson M. Hall sentenced him to 20 years in prison, the maximum allowable sentence. The 34-year-old tried to run an agent over with his auto during his arrest, according to an article by the Tucson Daily Citizen.
But Paddock and the inside of a cell did not get along well.
His father, Benjamin Hoskins Paddock, was a diagnosed psychopath, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and he was convicted of "bank robbery, automobile larceny, and confidence game".
Since he has utilized firearms in previous crimes, has employed violence in attempting to evade arrest and has been diagnosed as being psychopathic, Paddock should be considered extremely unsafe.
