The two teams have met in the playoffs once, on January 5, 2008. They have run the ball well behind Leonard Fournette, who has 285 yards and three scores. It gave him 181 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries. The Steelers won 31-29.
There is a lot riding on fresh players this match for the Jaguars.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee is active in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh is still looking to get into an offensive rhythm but has held opponents to just 14.8 points per game - second-fewest in the National Football League - despite playing three of its first four games on the road. Doug Marrone has a job ahead of him.
The second came on the next possession, two plays after Roethlisberger was sacked for a 7-yard loss and one play after he was booed for trying an off-target shovel pass to tight end Jesse James.
Bell also added four receptions for 42 yards. He'll need to be equally capable in the passing game to get involved in the offense this week. They scratched and clawed their way back into the game late in the 4th, but a Chandler Catanzaro FG crushed their efforts in the OT period as time almost expired. The defense couldn't stop the run, giving up two long rushing TDs, and struggled in a pivotal 3rd quarter. If the Ravens and Steelers play at the same time, then Pittsburgh fans are out of luck. Linebacker Lerentee McCray (knee) was ruled out for the third consecutive game.
It's beginning to feel as though the Steelers will not turn the proverbial corner on offense and become that potent unit that their individual talent suggests is possible, and much of that has to do with the performance from the quarterback position. Admittedly, Ben Roethlisberger hasn't played up to his normal standards, but he can go off at any time. Le'Veon Bell had a big game last week and has 324 rushing yards with three touchdowns in 2017.
"We've got to be on top of our game, run and pass, whether we're protecting or throwing", said Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley.
Further, Martavis Bryant is in the questionable region.
Pittsburgh's defense held Baltimore scoreless in three quarters last week and stifled any sniff at a comeback. It could get ugly. Ramsey, who had at least four passes defensed Sunday, knocked the pass from Brown. Still, as often happens after one of these primadonna wideouts has a meltdown, he could bounce back in a big way.
The Ravens are one of seven AFC teams with a.500 record. The Jaguars will throw just enough passes to keep the Steelers from loading the box with eight defenders.
