The new emoji will be available in the forthcoming iOS 11.1 beta 2 update for developers as well as public beta testers.

The Unicode Consortium's co-founder and president, Mark Davis, described how the group chose emoji in an interview with the New York Times in 2015.

On Friday, Apple announced a slew of new emojis are coming with the new iOS update, and hundreds of new characters are set to make their debut. We're also getting some new food emoji, including a potsticker, takeout box, broccoli, and pie, plus some new sports and activity-themed characters like a sled, rock climber, baseball cap, and curling emoji.

The release will also include numerous new, inclusive Unicode emoji announced earlier this year.

Apple has offered many innovations to Apple users with IOS 11. A genderless person, available in a range of races and ages. In addition to iOS 11.1, the new emoji will also be added to future versions of macOS and watchOS.

The animals section will grow with the addition of a zebra, a giraffe, a hedgehog and even a Brachiosaurus.
