Danley, 62, was out the country at the time of the shooting and in the Philippines on Tuesday.
The sisters of the Australian girlfriend of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock, Marilou Danley, have claimed she was unaware of the gunman's plans as he organised a flight for her to the Philippines and wired her more than $100,000. A United States official said Danley was not under arrest but that the Federal Bureau of Investigation hoped she would consent to be interviewed voluntarily.
"I knew this was a big deal by the panic in the people around me".
For his part, Consul General Adelio Angelito Cruz said he also been instructed by the foreign affairs chief to immediately proceed to Las Vegas to look into the condition of the 131,000 members of the Filipino community in the popular resort destination as well as Filipino tourists from other parts of the USA and the Philippines who may need assistance.
Omar Mateen, who killed 49 people and injured 58 in last year's Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, was reported as having no record of previous hate crimes. They believe Paddock sent her away so she wouldn't interfere with his plans.
"She didn't even know that she was going to the Philippines, until Steve said, Marilou, I found you a cheap ticket to the Philippines", the other sister said.
"He would glare down at her and say-with a mean attitude-'You don't need my casino card for this". They said Danley is a good person. They said they believe Danley couldn't have known about his ideas.
Marilou Danley has arrived back in the United States to face questions about the massacre and the reported $US100,000 her boyfriend transferred to her in the Philippines before he killed 58 people and injured more than 500 as he fired from a 32nd floor casino hotel suite on Sunday night.
Las Vegas Shooter's Father Was On FBI Most Wanted List
Danley was out of the country at the time of the shooting and has not been named a co-conspirator in the massacre. The couple separated in 1979 before their divorce was finalized in 1980 in Los Angeles County.
Authorities said Paddock, who had no criminal record, smashed windows in his hotel room shortly after 10 pm on Sunday and rained fire on a crowd of some 22,000 attending a country music concert below.
A total of 47 firearms were recovered from three locations searched by investigators - Paddock's hotel suite, his home in Mesquite, and another property associated with him in Reno, Nevada, according to Jill Snyder, special agent for the US Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). Explosives were found at the home and in his Paddock's vehicle.
Paddock's father was a bank robber who was on the FBI's most-wanted list in the 1960s and was diagnosed as a psychopath.
Police have also been looking to interrogate the suspect's girlfriend Marilou Danley, who appears to have lived with Paddock about 80 miles northeast of Vegas. "I have a clean conscience, '" Bustos said in an interview today outside the capital of Manila in their homeland.
Reuters was not able immediately to confirm the two reports.
The death toll of Sunday's shooting far surpassed the massacre of 26 young children and educators in Newtown, Connecticut, in 2012, and the slaying of 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando past year.
The official said Paddock visited the Philippines in 2013 and 2014, staying for five to six days on both occasions. On Oct. 3, two days after the shooting, Danley returned to the US met by federal agents.
