Police seek motive after Las Vegas shooter kills at least 59

Chairperson Siphosezwe Masango has described Monday's terror attack in which more than 50 people were killed as senseless. The most important reason why I don't take ISIS' claim at face value is the fact that Paddock shot himself when police entered his hotel room.

As Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of suspected Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock, arrives in the USA for questioning, her sisters are speaking out, saying that Paddock made sure she was out of the picture as he planned.

"He manipulated her to be as far away as possible when he did this", he said.

The girlfriend of mass murderer Stephen Paddock will be interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Los Angeles, not brought to Las Vegas for questioning, according to Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo.

According to reports, Danley was born in the Philippines and moved to Queensland, Australia in the 1980's.

Quoting an unnamed senior USA homeland security official, Reuters also reported that investigators were examining a $100,000 wire transfer Paddock sent to an account in the Philippines that may have been intended for Danley.

Oil steadies as OPEC pact may endure through next year
The drop came amid worries that a third-quarter rally that lifted Brent to mid-2015 highs by late September had been overdone. Advances in USA shale oil production technologies are contributing the to supply surplus and weighing on any oil price gains.

Her sister who lives in Queensland says she is a good person and knew nothing about Paddock's plot to slaughter dozens of revellers at a country music festival on the Vegas Strip.

Investigators hope she can shed some light on the motivation behind Paddock's alleged killing rampage.

Danley's sisters said Paddock bought her "a cheap ticket" to the Philippines, her home country.

The terrorist group, through its Amaq news channel, said the suspected gunman, Stephen Paddock, 64, converted to Islam a few months ago. The windows don't open so police say he smashed them with a hammer.

Sheriff Joe Lombardo, who has called her a "person of interest" in the attack, has said detectives "anticipate some information" from Ms Danley shortly. He was found dead when police entered the room, surrounded by at least 23 weapons that he smuggled into the hotel in 10 suitcases, Newsweek reported.

Investigators are still piecing together the motives for the shooting that killed at least 58 people and are now focused on one thing: what do we know about Marilou Danley?
