- Platex recalled millions of its plates and bowls for children on Tuesday after officials found the clear plastic layer on the items can pose as a choking hazard.

They have various printed designs including cars, construction scenes, giraffes princesses, superheroes and more. Over 370 reports sent to Playex detail how the plastic layer on top of the plates can bubble or peel.

No other Playtex product is affected by this recall.

A very popular and commonly used set of kids' plates and bowls from Playtex has been recalled this week in the US and Canada due to choking hazards.

Attention, parents: If your little ones use Playtex plates and bowls designed for children, then it's probably a good idea to heed this new recall.

If you own any of the recalled products, stop using them immediately, and take them from young children.

Go online or call Playtex at 1-888-220-2075 from 8 a.m.to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday for responses to questions and concerns. They're white plates and bowls with colorful rims, nonstick bottoms, and a cartoon design on them.

If you're one of the unlucky ones who has one of these bowls or plates, you have a couple of options to obtain a refund.
