Flags to fly at half-staff to honor victims of Las Vegas shooting

2 announced he has ordered the city's flags to be flown at half-mast following the mass shooting at a Jason Aldean concert in Las Vegas overnight.

The governors' directives were in accordance with a proclamation issued by President Donald Trump.

"Please join Susanne and I in keeping the victims and families of the horrifying tragedy in Las Vegas in our thoughts and prayers", Ricketts said.

At least one North Dakotan, Andrew Gudmunson of Minot, a former University of North Dakota baseball player, was hurt in the shooting, according to UND athletic director Brian Faison.

"I was deeply saddened to learn of the senseless, cowardly attack on concertgoers in Las Vegas, Nevada, last night", Reed said in a news release. "But for all the wickedness on display today, take heart in knowing the unwavering goodness by most will never be overshadowed by the evil of the very few".
