Stephen Paddock, the gunman in the Las Vegas shooting, reportedly wired $100,000 to an account in the Philippines in the week before killing 59 people at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

Paddock was using some of Danley's identification, but they do not believe she was involved in the shooting, Lombardo said.

"Given the local authorities are still investigating the incident, we can not comment further on these reports".

There were also reports that Danley was on vacation in Japan when the Las Vegas shooting happened.

United States reports say that on top of his divorce proceedings, Stephen Paddock had a gambling problem.

Danley's LinkedIn page includes a description wherein she says she's a "gambling and casino professional" living in Reno, reported the Daily Mail.

News Corp Australia newspapers said the Filipino-Australian used to live on the Gold Coast tourist strip and still had a sister there.

"I've met her three or four times", Paddock's brother, Eric, was quoted by CBS News as saying.

In a press release of LVMPD, Sheriff Joe Lombardo said that the department is working to process the crime scene across from the Mandalay Bay Hotel and investigate the motives of the gunman.

"We are making arrangements to contact her upon her return", he said.

On Monday, the Philippines expressed its deepest sympathies to the U.S. and to the families of the people who were killed in the mass shooting.

Danley was described as an Australian national who is originally from the Philippines. They married in Las Vegas in 1990, according to Washoe County records.

Presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella lamented the number of people who died during the rampage.

"We are coordinating with Las Vegas police authorities and with leaders of the Filipino Community to check on our kababayans (countrymen) there", said Cruz.

During the regular briefing in Malaca├▒ang yesterday, Abella said no Filipino casualty has been reported in the incident.
