North Korea not ready to shoot down B-1B bombers, Seoul says


North Koreans can launch artillery and hit Seoul within seconds.

The U.S. has "four or five" ways to resolve the crisis with North Korea, according to National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster.

During a meeting with President Moon Jae-in on Thursday, national security adviser Chung Eui-yong said he expected Pyongyang to act around October 10 and 18, but gave no details.

While McMaster said the threat from Pyongyang is "much further advanced" than anticipated and the Pentagon said the president has a "deep arsenal" to draw upon if needed, U.S. officials dismissed North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho's comment that President Donald Trump's warnings to Pyongyang at the United Nations amounted to a declaration of war.

North Korea has threatened to shoot down American bombers, even over worldwide waters, due to a perceived threat from President Donald Trump.

South Korea and the United States insist it is only to curb North Korea's missile threats.

The senator said he saw the importance of the USA and its allies being unified against the regime. "I hope that North Korea will adopt a forward-looking attitude", he said. The nature of the assets was not specified. It has banned imports from North Korea of coal, copper ore and textiles among others.

China opposes the deployment of THAAD because it believes its powerful radar could be used to look inside its territory.
