Buhari Congratulates German Chancellor, Merkel On Election Victory

Buhari who left NY for London on Thursday, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 7pm and was received by his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammed Bello, the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, among others. He is believed to have made the trip to the United Kingdom to meet with his doctors, after earlier spending over three months in London for medical vacation.

The president's arrival on Monday evening led to a temporary blockage of the airport road, used by thousands of motorists who live in the Nigerian capital.
