The Bengals knew heading into the season that their fate would rest largely with an inexperienced offensive line. "Looking back since I was a little boy, this is what I dreamed of".
After the game, WKRC-Cincinnati reporter Richard Skinner tweeted how several Bengals players in the locker room said, "We just lost to the worst team in the league". He also carried the ball eight times for 102 yards and a score and took one kick return to the house.
Cincinnati were shut-out 20-0 by Baltimore as quarterback Andy Dalton turned the ball over five times - twice on intended touchdown passes in the end zone - to earn an anaemic passer rating of just 28.4, the second worst of his career. "He will look at where he can get better and he will work with me". "He did a lot of different things, he blitzed off the edge, got a sack, caused a fumble, had several tackles". The unit was the best in the business without him previous year.
"If you win field position and defense, you should win the [bleeping] game", cornerback Adam Jones said, via Fox19's Jeremy Rauch. Houston is also 1-5 ATS in their last six versus the AFC and 0-7 ATS in their last seven Thursday games. Additionally, each of the three tight ends was out against Cincinnati with an injury. "The 6-foot-1", 300-pound Atkins charged into Watson at full speed, and sent the rookie crashing into the turf for what could be the hardest hit he's taken on any level of the game. "It was good to see those guys step up".
That being said, his touchdown displayed the trademark toughness, perseverance and playmaking ability that Clemson fans know and love. Starting the season 0-2 - with both losses coming at home - in a division with the Steelers and Ravens would be a rather deep hole.
I think this game is a toss up as far as who wins, so I'm going with the home team. The team's next game is set for Sunday, September 24, when they will face the formidable Green Bay Packers.
Judging by the performances of their blockers in the opening week of the season, it's fair to wonder if there will be more sacks than points in Thursday night's game between the Texans and Bengals.
